These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the GlossGuardian mobile application ("App"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

The App is provided free of charge with a limit of 50 products on the free tier. Premium features may be introduced in the future.
GlossGuardian is an informational tool only. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Product data, ingredient lists, and allergen checks may be incomplete or inaccurate. Some ingredient data may be estimated by AI and marked accordingly — this data has not been independently verified. Always read the physical product label and consult a qualified healthcare professional regarding allergies, skin reactions, or medical concerns.
Product names, categories, ingredients, and images are sourced from third-party databases (Open Beauty Facts, Open Products Facts, Open Food Facts, UPCitemdb, go-UPC) or estimated by AI when no data is available. We do not independently verify this data and make no guarantee of its accuracy or completeness.
Expiry dates and PAO calculations are estimates based on user-provided information and general industry assumptions. They are not a guarantee of product safety or efficacy.
GlossGuardian allows you to generate a share card for an unopened, in-date product and share it with local community groups (such as Buy Nothing groups) via your device's native share functionality.
By using the Share/Donate feature, you confirm and declare that:
This declaration is recorded and retained by GlossGuardian for safety and accountability purposes. GlossGuardian does not facilitate, broker, or take responsibility for any exchange, handover, or transaction between users. Any donation or exchange is entirely between you and the recipient, and GlossGuardian bears no liability for any harm, dissatisfaction, or dispute arising from such exchanges.
We reserve the right to disable the Share/Donate feature at any time.
The free tier of GlossGuardian allows you to track up to 50 products at a time (excluding donated products). This limit may be adjusted at our discretion. Premium tiers offering higher or unlimited product limits may be introduced in the future.
The App may include links to Amazon or other third-party websites and services. These are outside our control. We are not responsible for their content, policies, pricing, availability, or actions, nor for any purchases or interactions you have on third-party platforms.
When you use the Share/Donate feature, your generated share card and caption may be posted to third-party social platforms (such as Facebook, Instagram, or WhatsApp). GlossGuardian is not responsible for how those platforms handle your content once shared.
GlossGuardian may participate in the Amazon Associates Program. When affiliate tracking is active, tapping "Buy on Amazon" may result in GlossGuardian earning a small commission on qualifying purchases at no additional cost to you. The affiliate status of any link will be disclosed within the App when this feature is active.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GlossGuardian and its developer shall not be liable for any injury, allergic reaction, illness, loss, or damage arising from:
The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind.
Push notifications (such as expiry reminders) are delivered on a best-effort basis through Firebase Cloud Messaging and are not guaranteed to arrive on time or at all. Notifications may be delayed or fail to arrive due to device settings, battery optimisation, network conditions, operating system behavior, or third-party service outages. Do not rely solely on push notifications for product safety decisions — always check expiry dates directly within the App.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the developer of GlossGuardian from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising from your misuse of the App, violation of these Terms, or any community donation or exchange you participate in.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to the App or its users.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and GlossGuardian regarding your use of the App and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated within the App. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
